The functions of the Lagos Centre are:
(a) To promote international commercial arbitration in the sub-region;
(b) To provide a system for the settlement of disputes for the benefit of parties engaged in trade, commerce and investment within and outside the Asian-African Regions, under fair, inexpensive and expertise procedures;
(c) To render assistance in the conduct of ad-hoc arbitrations particularly those held under the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules;
(d) To assist in the enforcement of arbitral awards;
(e) To provide for arbitration under the Rules and auspices of the Lagos Centre.
